Role description
We’re Hiring: Business Intelligence Developer (Remote | Contract | Long-term)
This is a long-term contract role (extensions in June & December), 100% remote, where you’ll work with a small, highly skilled team to deliver impactful reporting solutions that drive real-world outcomes in education.
What You’ll Do
• Design, develop, and deploy data-driven reporting solutions from concept to production
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable workflows
• Build effective, user-friendly reporting assets (Tableau dashboards, datasets, interfaces, outputs)
• Maintain and enhance reporting artifacts across development and production
• Apply best practices in version control, testing, and automation
• Work extensively with Tableau/Tableau Server, SQL, relational & columnar databases, data modeling, AWS tools (S3, EC2, EMR, Lambda, Glue, etc.)
• Contribute to visualization and reporting standards (style guides, best practices)
• Demo solutions, document processes, and ensure clear communication with stakeholders
About You
• 5–10+ years of professional experience in BI/reporting development
• Bachelor’s degree required (analytical field preferred)
• Strong expertise in SQL, Tableau, and AWS data engineering components
• Proven experience developing web-based reporting applications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
• Skilled communicator who can ask the right questions, synthesize requirements, and present results
• Comfortable in agile environments with cross-functional teams
• Self-starter with excellent prioritization and collaboration skills
