Role description
Business Intelligence (BI) Developer Location: Washington, D.C. Our approach is grounded in empathy, enabling us to better understand challenges and design effective, sustainable solutions. This starts as a 6 month contract and then goes permanent if you perform. As a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer, you will leverage data and visual analytics to deliver insights and solutions to our clients. Responsibilities include building technical solutions, developing data storage tools, and conducting rigorous testing to ensure the reliability of Tableau dashboards and reports. While the majority of your work will support an external government client, you may also contribute to internal initiatives within the company. Key Responsibilities β€’ Develop and maintain interactive, visually compelling Tableau dashboards and reports. β€’ Use SQL to manipulate, clean, and transform large datasets. β€’ Employ advanced Tableau features such as LOD expressions, table calculations, data blending, and performance tuning. β€’ Integrate Tableau with APIs, cloud platforms, and third-party data sources. Minimum Qualifications β€’ 5+ years of experience in Tableau development, dashboard design, and data visualization. β€’ 5+ years of experience in SQL for cleaning, transforming, and conducting complex calculations on large datasets. β€’ Proven expertise with advanced Tableau functionality β€’ Experience with Tableau integration across APIs, cloud environments, and external data sources. β€’ Must be a U.S. Permanent Resident for at least the last 3 years (requirement due to the possibility of needing to obtain a Public Trust clearance).
