Note: Candidate must be able to work on-site 2-3 days per week in West Sacramento, CA (hybrid model). Local candidates strongly preferred. Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Developer with deep expertise in Power BI, SQL, and cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake or AWS Redshift. The ideal candidate should also have hands-on experience integrating Generative AI into BI solutions. This role involves working with business and technical stakeholders to deliver high-quality, insightful, and scalable BI solutions that drive strategic decision-making. Must-Have Technical Qualifications • 1+ year experience integrating Generative AI into data analytics solutions. • 5+ years hands-on experience designing and developing dashboards using Microsoft Power BI. • 5+ years experience writing, optimizing, and managing SQL queries, procedures, functions, and views. • 3+ years working with Snowflake or AWS Redshift data warehouses. Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. • 5+ years experience working in Agile environments and full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). • Strong command of DAX for data modeling and complex expressions in Power BI. • Experience in regulated industries such as State agencies, Finance, or Investment domains. • Proven ability to transform business requirements into scalable BI solutions and reports. Responsibilities • Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and developers to design and implement BI solutions. • Integrate Generative AI into BI platforms to automate insights and recommendations. • Apply machine learning/AI techniques for predictive analytics. • Create functional design documents and translate business needs into technical solutions. • Develop and maintain advanced dashboards and reports using Power BI, SQL, and related tools. • Perform data analysis to support strategic business initiatives and product performance evaluations. • Conduct functional testing, certify product releases, and ensure data/report accuracy. • Optimize report performance and perform continuous monitoring and improvement. • Contribute to data modeling, documentation, ETL planning, and data governance processes. • Provide regular reports on project progress, risks, and technical challenges.
