Business Intelligence Engineer
Cincinnati, OH - Hybrid
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Intelligence Engineer to join our Cincinnati local Client. This role will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining analytic solutions that drive strategic decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Power BI, Databricks, and Snowflake, and a strong understanding of data modeling, visualization, and business analysis.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
β’ Assist in analyzing business issues and define requirements to design analytic solutions aligned with organizational goals.
β’ Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, and cross-functional teams to gather information, model system requirements, and document specifications.
β’ Support the development and implementation of automated system protocols to reduce manual processes and enhance operational efficiency.
β’ Assist in developing analytic assets and supporting documentation to ensure continuity and scalability.
β’ Participate in the analytic asset review lifecycle to ensure assets remain current and aligned with evolving business needs.
β’ Contribute to the creation of end-user documentation and assist in delivering training to promote successful adoption of new systems.
β’ May assist in monitoring project milestones and deliverables to ensure timely and budget-compliant execution.
β’ Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
β’ 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, data engineering, or analytics.
β’ Prior experience in the insurance industry is highly preferred but not required.
β’ Hands-on experience with Power BI, Databricks, and Snowflake is required.
β’ Experience with other BI tools such as Tableau or Cognos is a plus.
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Preferred Skills
β’ Proficiency in SQL and data modeling.
β’ Experience with cloud data platforms and ETL processes.
β’ Strong communication and documentation skills.
β’ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
