Job Description: BI Engineer Location: Atlanta, GA (On-site/Hybrid) Contract Duration: 6 months An established manufacturing company in Atlanta is seeking a skilled Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer for a contract role. The ideal candidate will possess strong ETL expertise, advanced reporting skills, and hands-on experience with SAP Business Objects. You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions that drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL processes to ensure efficient data integration and quality across multiple sources. • Build, optimize, and support data pipelines and workflows to enable high-quality reporting and analytics. • Develop, enhance, and maintain interactive reports and dashboards using SAP Business Objects, ensuring data accuracy and actionable insights. • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and deliver BI products that meet business needs. • Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business improvement. • Ensure end-to-end documentation of BI solutions, including data models, ETL workflows, and reporting processes. • Provide technical support and training to end-users on SAP Business Objects and other BI tools as required. • Monitor and troubleshoot BI systems, ensuring high availability and performance of reporting solutions. • Stay current with BI trends, SAP Business Objects updates, and best practices to continuously improve BI processes and solutions. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field preferred. • Proven experience (3+ years) in BI engineering or a similar data-focused role within a manufacturing or industrial environment. • Strong hands-on expertise in ETL development and management. • Advanced experience with SAP Business Objects for report and dashboard development, administration, and optimization. • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. • Experience designing and maintaining data models (star/snowflake schemas, data marts). • Demonstrated ability to work closely with business users to translate requirements into effective BI solutions. • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
