Who We Look For:
In Client Fixed Income, their technology group is a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with exciting changes on the horizon under new senior leadership. They are looking for a senior business intelligence resource to support senior leaders in building all new visualization and data analytics within the various departments in Fixed Income. Their ideal candidate will have proven experience in building dynamic analytics report/dashboards for financial end-users. What You Will Do:
β’ Create Power BI and Tableau Dashboards to meet complex user requirements and demand.
β’ Performance tuning and aesthetics customization to meet user expectations.
β’ Develop and implement design best practices to ensure a seamless user-experience for business stakeholders.
β’ Transform complex reporting needs into technical specifications, including calculations, custom groups, parameters, filtering criteria, aggregations etc. Breakdown complex requirements into user stories, and drive delivery with the product team
β’ Work with the business on managing Power BI & Tableau user permissions, performance troubleshooting, and managing general help inquiries.
β’ Develop and Test Python and Custom API-related Workflows to build on the capabilities of the Power BI and Tableau Platform.
β’ Work with Tableau for support, ticket resolution, feature requests and defect tracking.
β’ Demonstrate strong backend platform expertise and front-end consultancy capability
β’ Recommend best practices from both a technical and process perspective as related to Power BI and Tableau development.
β’ Groom large datasets for optimal performance and maintainability
β’ Troubleshoot issues as they occur, identify criticality and impact, and provide appropriate workarounds
What You Will Need:
β’ 5+ years of Power BI application development experience including visualizations, parameters, and report optimization
β’ 3+ years of Tableau application development experience, including visualizations, parameters, and report optimization
β’ 5+ years of hands-on SQL Experience
β’ 3+ years of working on Power BI or Tableau Administration Responsibilities (Permissions, Server Maintenance and upgrades, Monitoring)
β’ 3+ years working in Python, Pandas Data Frames, API-driven workflows.
β’ Expertise across multiple BI platforms and data visualization tools include Tableau and Power BI
β’ Strong experience with performance tuning business intelligence and database platforms for maximum performance in each technical configuration
β’ Expertise with multiple database platforms including relational databases (ie. SQL Server and Oracle) as well as cloud-based data warehouses such as Microsoft Fabric and Snowflake
β’ Experience with both server and desktop-based data visualization tools
β’ Expertise with managing and mining very large internal and external data sets
β’ Experience with sourcing external data sets to meet business needs
β’ Demonstrated experience with testing business hypotheses, asking the right questions to provoke thoughts from business users and ultimately using data to test and validate hypothesis
β’ Very strong experience with quickly building data visualization worksheets and dashboards to analyze, view and interpret data sets
β’ Hands-on experience with Python for building automations for business processes
β’ Demonstrated experience with using predictive, prescriptive and descriptive data analytics to test, question and solve business problems
β’ Have a consulting mindset when working with internal clients across multiple departments of the organization
β’ Ideally familiar with financial services datasets across investment, product and distribution functions - not essential but highly desirable
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science or equivalent, with a strong preference in a Data-centric major.
