Role description
Position: Business Intelligence Engineer
Industry: Manufacturing
Type: 6 months contract
Location: Austin, TX (on-site)
Interview: On-site in Austin, TX (travelling/relocation is not paid for)
Day to day:
β’ Build and maintain complex data engineering and BI applications using the AWS big data stack.
β’ Design, deploy, and scale data architecture components for evolving business needs.
β’ Create, maintain, and report on key program metrics and reports.
β’ Perform deep-dive analysis on customer behavior and feature performance using data mining, modeling, and statistical testing (A/B and multivariate).
β’ Develop tools and automation to process and analyze data, enabling self-service.
β’ Respond to urgent, ad hoc requests and perform exploratory data analysis for business leaders.
β’ Partner with technical and non-technical teams (SDEs, TPMs, etc.) to support and build new front-end applications.
β’ Participate in strategic planning discussions.
Must haves:
β’ 3+ years of experience working with large-scale complex datasets.
β’ Strong working knowledge of SQL and Python.
β’ Strong analytical mindset and the ability to decompose business requirements into an analytical plan and execute it.
β’ Excellent communication skills, comfortable working equally well with engineers and business leaders, and across multiple technical/non-technical teams and geographies.
β’ Self-driven, uncompromisingly detail-oriented, and comfortable facilitating ideation and working from concept through to execution.
Salary and Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is between $37Β - $40Β per hour. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
