Kforce has an enterprise client seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer III in Sumner, WA. Summary: The Business Intelligence Engineer III will develop persona-driven data products and dashboards to support leadership, operations, and support personnel. This role involves handling large datasets, refining them, and presenting insights to help stakeholders make informed business decisions. This team they will be helping specifically develops and deploys robotics for the online grocery ordering service. This is not a highly structured environment; this role can be ambiguous the BIE III will need to get to know the business and stake holders and understand customers to do the job well. The Business Intelligence Engineer will first go the warehouse to see and learn about the systems there. They will seek to understand what the data they will need to be gathering and what that data will represent. It's imperative that they take the time to understand what is going on in the warehouse and translate that to the dashboard their creating. This will involve data validation, implementing new metric sets, dashboard accuracy, building from scratch, and modifying dashboards as emerging data comes out. This role is not very structured, it will require curiosity and self-drive. Responsibilities:
β’ Visit the warehouse to observe systems, gather requirements, and ensure the collected data accurately represents operational realities
β’ Build, modify, and maintain dashboards that translate raw data into actionable insights
β’ Ensure accuracy in dashboards, introduce new metric sets, and validate data integrity
β’ Monitor and integrate newly available data sources for improved analytics
β’ Work closely with the Data Engineer, managers, operations support personnel, software engineers, systems engineers, the grocery logistics team, and the ACES operations team
Requirements
β’ Bachelor's degree required
β’ 5+ recent years of BIE experience (explicitly)
β’ 5+ years of business intelligence experience
β’ 5+ years of QuickSight, Tableau or Power Bi (Amazon uses Quicksight) experience
β’ Expert-level SQL Required and C++ Python are nice to have
β’ Data driven and curious
β’ Okay at a desk building dashboard and on-site in a warehouse collecting data so they can see and understand what's happening in real time
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
