Role description
Are you passionate about leveraging data to drive business decisions and empower operational practices? We're seeking a talented BI Engineer to join our team on a fixed term basis for 12 months and play a pivotal role in scoping, designing, building, and delivering business intelligence solutions and data insights.
In this role, you'll be instrumental in supporting our business strategy by providing comprehensive reporting solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to translate business requirements into actionable insights, designing and building reports and BI tools that not only meet initial needs but also delve deeper to address the true requirements of our users.
Your expertise in manipulating complex datasets will be key as you extract valuable analysis and insights. We're looking for someone who can go beyond surface-level analysis, uncovering hidden patterns and trends that drive strategic decisions.
Collaboration is at the heart of what we do, and building strong relationships with clients and users will be essential. Your excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner will ensure effective collaboration across teams.
To excel in this role, you'll need extensive experience in an analysis role, coupled with technical proficiency in Power BI, data visualization, data modelling, and statistical methods. Strong SQL skills are a must, along with the ability to adapt and learn other analytical tools as needed.
If you're ready to make an impact and drive data-driven decision-making within our organization, we want to hear from you. Join us in shaping the future of our data strategy and fostering a culture of self-serve business intelligence. Apply now and take the next step in your career journey with us.
This role is available on a hybrid basis, combining regular home working with office attendance in Wolverhampton each month for team collaboration days. You can be based at any of our main offices and may occasionally be asked to travel to other offices across our geography. Due to the nature of the role, a Basic DBS check will be required.
The closing date for applications is just around the corner on 27th October 2025.
