With a strong presence across e-commerce, cloud computing, digital streaming, and artificial intelligence, the company is known for its customer-centric approach, innovation-driven culture, and large-scale global impact. It continues to invest in building products and services that improve everyday life while supporting businesses, communities, and economies worldwide.
Job Description:
• In this role, you will research, design, and build comprehensive rate cards for flying, fuel, and pass-through costs for each of Client's Air's partner air carriers.
• You will work with large, complex datasets sourced from web-based platforms, industry databases, past invoice correspondence, and contractual terms to create a scalable, low-maintenance solution that continues to deliver value well beyond the contract period.
• This is a high-impact opportunity to shape how Amazon Air manages, benchmarks, and executes air carrier payments across its global network.
Key Job Responsibilities:
• Research, collect, and consolidate pass-through cost data (including landing, take-off, parking, navigation, pilot services, agricultural checks, etc.) from diverse sources such as carrier invoices, airport authority websites, government databases, and internal spreadsheets
• Design and build comprehensive rate cards covering all air carriers and airports across US, Canada, Europe, and India, determining the most effective data architecture and structure for ongoing usability
• Leverage AI-powered tools and automation to accelerate data collection, validation, and normalization — improving both speed and accuracy of deliverables
• Establish a sustainable, self-service mechanism (e.g., automated data pipelines, scheduled refreshes, or structured templates) that requires minimal ongoing maintenance after the contract period concludes
• Provide regular progress updates to program managers and leadership, and proactively recommend process improvements or alternative approaches to enhance data quality and operational efficiency
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field, or 5+ years of equivalent professional experience
• 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or data engineering
• 3+ years of experience working with large, unstructured, or semi-structured datasets from multiple source types
• Experience using AI/ML tools or generative AI to build-out data knowledge (e.g. data extraction, classification, or enrichment)
• Experience building automated reporting solutions or data pipelines
• Experience with SQL and at least one data visualization tool (e.g., Tableau, QuickSight, Power BI)
• Airport pervious work but a data scientist wouldn’t be excluded doesn’t have to be a previous aerospace worker
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in aviation, logistics, transportation, or supply chain industries
• Familiarity with airport charges, carrier billing structures, or aviation fee schedules
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or R for data manipulation and automation
• Experience creating self-sustaining data products or mechanisms designed for handoff to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience communicating analytical findings and recommendations to senior leadership through written narratives
