Role description
Title: Business Intelligence Specialist

Duration: 6+ Months of Contract
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical BI/Data Analyst with strong expertise in SQL and Tableau to support business intelligence, reporting, and data-driven decision-making initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience working with large datasets, developing interactive dashboards, performing data analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
• Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets from multiple data sources.
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards and reports for business stakeholders.
• Analyze trends, KPIs, and operational metrics to provide actionable business insights.
• Validate data accuracy and ensure consistency across reporting solutions.
• Collaborate with business users, product teams, and leadership to gather reporting requirements and translate them into analytics solutions.
• Automate recurring reports and improve reporting efficiency.
• Perform ad hoc data analysis to support strategic and operational initiatives.
• Document data definitions, business logic, and reporting processes.
• Troubleshoot data discrepancies and dashboard performance issues.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or Business Intelligence Analyst.
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL for querying, data manipulation, joins, aggregations, CTEs, and performance optimization.
• Strong Tableau development experience including dashboard creation, calculated fields, parameters, filters, and data visualization best practices.
• Experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, or Snowflake.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with ETL/data warehousing concepts.
• Knowledge of Python, Excel, or Power BI is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
