We are currently seeking a Senior Business Process Reengineer. Local candidates are strongly preferred. Non-local candidates must be willing to relocate with no delays and follow the hybrid work schedule. Interviews will be via Microsoft Teams video. The work schedule is hybrid, with two days onsite (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) in Lansing, MI and three days remote. Job Description: We are seeking a Senior Business Process Reengineer to support our client in enhancing and maintaining the Consolidated Application within the NexSys platform. This application is critical for distributing federal formula grants to our client’s local education agencies. This role will serve as a strategic liaison between our client’s regional field services consultants and managers, internal cross-office teams, and vendor partners. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business process analysis, requirements gathering, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC), with proven leadership experience in cross-functional environments. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Process Analysis & Improvement β€’ Review and document current grant-related business processes and workflows. β€’ Identify opportunities for process optimization and recommend improvements. β€’ Analyze federal policy changes and advise OES on necessary application updates. β€’ Stakeholder Engagement & Communication β€’ Facilitate meetings with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external consultants. β€’ Act as the primary point of contact for field consultants regarding application issues. β€’ Communicate issue status, resolutions, and updates to relevant stakeholders. β€’ Operational & Technical Liaison β€’ Manage and prioritize operational support requests and enhancement tickets in Azure DevOps. β€’ Collaborate with OSET and vendor teams to ensure timely resolution of technical issues. β€’ Translate business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements. β€’ Leadership & Team Coordination β€’ Lead and mentor a team of business analysts. β€’ Delegate tasks effectively and ensure alignment with project goals. β€’ Facilitate and lead requirement-gathering sessions with both business and technical teams. β€’ Documentation & Knowledge Management β€’ Maintain comprehensive documentation on the project SharePoint site. β€’ Ensure all process changes and decisions are well-documented and accessible. Required Skill Sets: β€’ Over two years of proven experience as a business process reengineer. β€’ Over two years of experience working with grant management systems or government-funded programs. β€’ Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). β€’ Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. β€’ Leadership capabilities in cross-functional team environments. β€’ Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft SharePoint, Azure DevOps, and Microsoft Office. β€’ Five years of exposure to Complex IT web Applications, within the past 5 years. β€’ Five years of experience in gathering and documenting business feedback and incorporating changes into current processes. β€’ Five years of experience working with multiple teams, internal and external, to support a project, its business processes and training needs. β€’ Five years with the ability to lead meetings, conduct training & information sessions, communicate at a level appropriate to the audience, make oral and written reports and presentations. β€’ Three years of experience working as a liaison between the development team and project manager or business client in a software development project. β€’ One year of experience with Azure DevOps; including creating User Stories and queries. β€’ One year of experience with Microsoft SharePoint. Desired Skill Sets: β€’ One year of experience developing wireframes, mockups, & prototypes in Figma or comparable design software
