About the Role
Weβre hiring a Business Process Reengineering Specialist β also known as a Business Process Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or Process Improvement Consultant β to join a high-impact IT project in Lansing, MI.
In this role, you will:
β’ Lead business requirements gathering for a major Agile IT initiative.
β’ Analyze and improve business processes, workflows, and systems.
β’ Create training materials and coach Business Analysts, Quality Assurance testers, and Subject Matter Experts.
β’ Work in Azure DevOps to manage backlogs, user stories, and project artifacts.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Facilitate requirement-gathering workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
β’ Translate business needs into clear, testable user stories and acceptance criteria.
β’ Map and document as-is and to-be processes, data flows, and system interactions.
β’ Maintain and prioritize the Azure DevOps backlog in collaboration with the Product Owner.
β’ Develop and deliver training content, templates, and reference guides.
β’ Partner with UI/UX designers, developers, DBAs, QA testers, and PMO staff to ensure shared understanding of scope and requirements.
β’ Support Build vs. Buy decisions and contribute to data governance discussions.
Required Skills & Experience
β’ 5+ years in business process analysis, business systems analysis, or process reengineering.
β’ 5+ years in Business Analyst SME roles with Quality Assurance knowledge.
β’ Hands-on experience in Azure DevOps (epics, features, user stories, backlog management).
β’ Strong understanding of Agile project delivery.
β’ Background in training, coaching, or mentoring teams.
β’ Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
β’ Proficiency with Figma, Visio, or similar process modeling tools.
Preferred Skills
β’ Continuous improvement / Lean Six Sigma background.
β’ Enterprise data governance knowledge.
β’ Change management experience in IT transformation projects.
