Commercial Programming Systems, Inc. (CPS) is an Information Technology consulting and staffing company offering a broad range of services aimed at helping our clients deliver high-quality, cost-effective systems.
We are currently searching for a Business Solutions Analyst to support our client for a two-year project in West Sacramento, CA.
Target hourly pay rate is: $70.00 an hour
The Business Solutions Analyst will be supporting the modernization efforts for a State of California program that supports the workflow of School Facility Program (SFP) Matching Share calculations, Grants, and Funding for certain disasters. These system enhancements are to improve performance, efficiency, stability, and user experience.
Responsibilities
β’ Review and understand the Project Charter.
β’ Define business requirements, including functional and technical.
β’ Conduct system Impact Analysis and Gap Analysis as required.
β’ Design and create process flows for existing and proposed systems using Visio or similar tools (MS Visio is the official tool at DGS/ETS).
β’ Understand the project approach selected by DGS/ETS Agile/Hybrid or waterfall.
β’ Understand all the deliverables (SRS, US/AC Epics, Features, User Manuals, PTA, PIA, Mock-ups, UAT Sign-offs SDO and related documents) a BA is expected to deliver based on the methodology selected by DSG/ETS for the project.
β’ Create a stakeholder communication/engagement plan.
β’ Conduct/Participate in all meetings according to the Business Solutions Analyst Standards expectations (These meetings include Scrum ceremonies, JAD sessions, Document Review sessions, etc.)
β’ Review deliverables with internal and external stakeholders based on the stakeholder engagement plan.
β’ Collaborates and ensures developers understand requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
β’ Collaborates and ensures Quality Assurance tester understands requirements and testing scenarios for test plans/cases.
Requirements
β’ Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or information systems.
β’ Ten years of experience in a business analyst role with IT software development projects.
β’ Ability to Create epics from the high-level requirements, subsequent features, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria
β’ Experience in Agile / SCRUM methodology
β’ Experience with Azure DevOps, JIRA, Adobe XD, Business Requirements Experience, Joint Application Design Sessions, MS Visio, and all SCRUM ceremonies.
β’ Be an expert in at least one UI/UX tool, mainly Adobe XD.
β’ Experience performing as UX / UI, Interaction Designer / User Researcher, conducting stakeholder interviews, Mockups, user requirements analysis, interaction design, iterative design activities, personas, storyboards, scenarios, flowcharts, design prototypes, develop proofs-of-concept and prototypes of easy-to-navigate user interfaces (UIs), with graphics, icons, and visually appealing color schemes.
β’ Previous experience with FED/Sled program modernization efforts.
β’ Comfortable making decisions and leading.
β’ A problem solver and critical thinker.
