Business Syst Analyst - IT Applications

We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst with strong integration experience to support system integration initiatives in a hybrid environment. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with business and technical teams to design, document, validate, and troubleshoot API-based integrations across interconnected systems. • Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid – 3 days onsite expected) • Duration: 4 Months Contract • Rate Range: $50 – $65/hr on W2 • Employment Type: Only W2 candidates, No C2C Responsibilities: • Collaborate with business and technical teams to design and document system integrations • Analyze and validate API contracts (REST/SOAP), payload mappings (JSON/XML), and integration workflows • Troubleshoot integration defects by analyzing request/response logs and identifying root causes • Translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications • Lead defect triage during SIT/UAT and coordinate cross-team resolution • Ensure data consistency and integrity across interconnected systems • Support production issue analysis and continuous improvement initiatives Required Qualifications: • 5+ years of experience as an Integration Systems Analyst or Technical Business Analyst in integration-heavy environments • Strong understanding of REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, and XML • Hands-on experience with Postman or similar API testing tools • Experience debugging integration issues at the payload level • Ability to collaborate across business, engineering, QA, and external vendor teams • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology • Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and version control tools (e.g., Git) • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills Preferred Skills: • Experience working in complex enterprise system environments • Prior experience supporting SIT/UAT cycles • Exposure to production support and continuous improvement initiatives If you meet the required qualifications and are interested in this role, please apply today.
