Role description
A Fortune 500 investment firm is seeking a Business Technology Enablement Analyst to support its Global Investment Operations Strategic Enablement team. This position will bridge business and technology by developing reporting and automation solutions, gathering requirements, training users, and helping teams adopt capabilities that improve operational efficiency, transparency, and data-driven decision-making. The role will be approximately 50% hands-on solution development and 50% consultative support, training, and technology enablement.
Key Responsibilities
Business Intelligence and Reporting
• Create, maintain, and enhance Power BI reports, dashboards, and operational metrics.
• Support recurring reporting activities, including quarterly metrics refreshes and ongoing reporting needs.
• Partner directly with stakeholders to define reporting requirements, establish metric standards, and deliver meaningful operational insights.
• Perform data validation, testing, and quality assurance to ensure reporting accuracy.
• Potentially support the conversion of existing Business Objects reports to Power BI.
Process Automation and Solution Development
• Design, develop, test, and support Power Automate workflows and other process automation solutions.
• Evaluate business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency through reporting, automation, and technology enablement.
• Translate business needs into practical reporting and workflow solutions.
• Troubleshoot existing solutions and recommend sustainable improvements.
Business Analysis and Consultative Support
• Lead requirements-gathering discussions with business stakeholders and document processes, needs, and desired outcomes.
• Act as a consultative partner by asking questions, challenging assumptions, and recommending appropriate solutions rather than simply executing predefined technical specifications.
• Manage multiple initiatives concurrently and provide clear updates on progress, risks, dependencies, and next steps.
• Work effectively through ambiguity and help define solutions for new or evolving business challenges.
Training, Adoption, and User Enablement
• Provide office-hours-style support and respond to user questions related to Power BI, Power Automate, and other approved technologies.
• Develop and deliver targeted training sessions, user documentation, and support materials.
• Promote adoption by providing best-practice guidance and helping users better understand available technology capabilities.
• Serve as a subject matter resource for reporting, analytics, automation, and technology enablement.
Required Qualifications
• Strong hands-on Power BI experience, including dashboard and report creation, enhancement, and ongoing support.
• Hands-on Power Automate experience, including workflow design, development, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Strong business analysis, requirements-gathering, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work directly with business stakeholders and translate undefined or evolving needs into actionable solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
• Approximately 7–10 years of relevant experience; candidates with fewer years may be considered if they demonstrate strong Power BI, Power Automate, and stakeholder-facing capabilities.
• Experience developing and delivering training or supporting technology adoption.
• Experience converting reports from Business Objects or another legacy reporting platform to Power BI.
• Investment operations or broader financial services experience.
• Experience supporting process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
