Role description
CAD Developer – Onsite | Lisle, IL We’re looking for a skilled CAD Developer to join our team and drive the development and enhancement of our multi-CAD ecosystem. This role combines technical expertise, creative problem-solving, and collaboration across engineering and IT teams. What You’ll Do: • Develop custom CAD programs, utilities, and automation tools to streamline 2D/3D CAD workflows in NX, CATIA, with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo as a plus. • Maintain stability and performance across CAD environments, including Development, Testing, Training, and Production. • Lead in-flight projects and enhancements for CAD systems, including OrderBuilder, Framebuilding, SAGE, Dispatcher Translations, and Supplier Exchange. • Collaborate with CAD Product Owners, engineers, and end-users to triage and resolve issues efficiently. • Guide the CAD IT Product Team in an Agile framework, implementing DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, source control, and IT security best practices. • Support Group R&D initiatives, including OnePDP ecosystem harmonization, data migration (ETL), integration development, and cross-brand training for user adoption. What You Bring: • 5+ years in multi-CAD environments, building 2D drawings and 3D models. • 3–5 years customizing CAD tools with C++, Python, .NET (C# required); Visual Basic, DOS Batch, or PowerShell is a plus. • Experience with DevSecOps, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines. • Strong communication skills – translate technical requirements into actionable IT solutions. • Big-picture thinking, leadership, and collaborative problem-solving mindset.
