Job Title: CAD Engineer Duration: 6+ months Location: Onsite, San Jose, CA Pay Rate: $90.00 - $95.00/hr (40 hours/week) Position Overview Develop, maintain, and enhance EDA/CAD flows for ASIC design (RTL to GDSII lifecycle preferred). Build automated checks for design validation, quality metrics, and regression monitoring. Create interactive dashboards and reporting tools to track design progress, QoR (Quality of Results), and KPIs. Leverage AI/LLM tools to accelerate script development, debug flows, and generate insights from design data. Collaborate with RTL, PD, DV, DFT, and STA teams to close gaps via automation. Integrate tools across Linux-based EDA setups and compute clusters. Analyze large datasets for actionable insights, automate repetitive tasks, and ensure scalable, robust solutions. Required Qualifications • 5+ years in CAD/EDA development or related engineering roles. • Strong Python programming (mandatory); scripting in TCL, Bash, or Perl. • Basic ASIC design flow knowledge (RTL, synthesis, place & route, STA, verification). • Linux/Unix experience with job scheduling systems. • Hands-on building automation frameworks, validation checks, or internal tools. • Data visualization (e.g., Python dashboards, web frameworks, BI tools). • Strong problem-solving in fast-paced environments.
