Capacity Planning Analyst
Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 Month Contract
Pay: $60/hr
W2 ONLY, NO C2C
Role Summary:
This role is accountable for managing defined portfolio components, ensuring data integrity, supporting governance routines, delivering accurate financial and capacity insights, and coordinating Move the Line (MTL) activities. The role operates with limited supervision, applies seasoned judgment to resolve moderately complex issues, and escalates risks and decisions that exceed defined authority.
Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio Execution & Governance Support:
β’ Independently execute assigned portfolio management activities including intake, prioritization workflows, and governance routines.
β’ Serve as operational back-up to the Lead TPM for defined portfolio areas.
β’ Monitor alignment to RTB/CTB classification and governance standards; escalate exceptions as needed.
Financial & Capacity Management:
β’ Own forecasting, tracking, and variance analysis for assigned portfolios or programs.
β’ Partner with Finance and Business Services Leaders to validate headcount, budget, and spend.
β’ Coordinate AU and cost center maintenance activities following governance requirements.
Data Management, Reporting & Analytics:
β’ Prepare recurring portfolio reports, dashboards, and executive-ready summaries.
β’ Ensure data accuracy across enterprise systems such as JIRA, ServiceNow, registry/capacity tools, and financial platforms.
β’ Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to support decision-making.
Move the Line (MTL) Coordination Responsibilities:
β’ Coordinate end-to-end MTL activities across Internal, Tech-for-Tech, and External-to-Tech moves.
β’ Support MTL intake, planning, and execution by validating rosters, work scope, applications, controls/RAUs, and financial elements.
β’ Track MTL timelines, approvals, and documentation across engagement, review, execution, and post-move phases.
β’ Ensure accuracy of registry updates, AU/cost center changes, and system updates tied to MTL activity.
β’ Escalate risks, issues, and exceptions to the Lead TPM or Business Services leadership.
Tools, Processes & Continuous Improvement:
β’ Maintain portfolio and MTL artifacts and documentation in accordance with enterprise standards.
β’ Identify and implement process improvements within assigned scope.
Stakeholder Partnership & Communication:
β’ Engage cross-functional partners including Product, Engineering, Finance, HR, TPCE, BCM, and Business Services.
β’ Translate portfolio and MTL data into clear insights for senior stakeholders.
β’ Provide guidance and mentoring to junior analysts.
Required Qualifications:
β’ 5+ years of experience in technology portfolio management, business services, program management, or operations.
β’ Experience supporting or coordinating Move to Leader (MTL) or workforce transition activities preferred.
β’ Demonstrated ability to independently manage moderately complex work.
β’ Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and collaboration tools.
β’ Experience with JIRA, ServiceNow, registry/capacity tools, financial systems, and Power BI preferred.
