Role description
Role: Capital market Analyst (Business Analyst Background) Location:  Charlotte, NC Duration: Long Term Experience: 10+ years We’re seeking a dynamic Capital Markets Analyst with hands-on experience in SQL, Python, and financial data to support the development of data-driven solutions across trading, risk, and post-trade functions. This role blends technology fluency, and capital markets expertise to optimize workflows and generate insights for key stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: ·       Develop and maintain SQL queries and Python scripts to analyze trade, risk, and reference data across asset classes ·       Partner with trading, risk, and compliance teams to translate business requirements into technical deliverables ·       Automate repetitive processes and contribute to tool development to streamline trade processing and reconciliation ·       Support the enhancement of post-trade workflows, especially with T+1 settlement and regulatory reporting ·       Document technical specifications, data dictionaries, and control frameworks Required Skills & Qualifications: ·       4–8 years of experience in capital markets, preferably in trading, risk analytics, or operations ·       Proficiency in writing advanced SQL queries and developing Python-based analytics ·       Solid understanding of market data, trade lifecycle, and financial instruments (equities, fixed income, derivatives) ·       Exposure to regulatory themes like Dodd-Frank, T+1, or Basel frameworks is a plus ·       Strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills ·       Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) is advantageous ·       Bachelor’s or Master’s in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field
