Capital Markets Business Analyst - Commercial Deposits, UAT Location: Dallas, TX Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid — onsite 3x/week Contract Details • Position Type: Contract • Contract Duration: 4 months (with potential for extension; possibility of conversion to FTE) • Start: July 6, 2026 • Pay Rate: $50.00–$55.00 / Hour (USD) • Shift / Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM; standard 37.5 hrs/week (possible OT) • Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time. Job Summary The successful candidate contributes to the overall success of Global Operations by ensuring plans and initiatives are executed and delivered in support of business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute and deliver on a multi-stage program critical to the success of the bank. This is a highly visible project. Typical Day in Role Contributes to a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. Manages and contributes to complex, multi-faceted project and system implementations to meet cross-geographical strategic transaction banking needs of Global Operations and various business lines by applying financial and technological knowledge to the introduction of new procedures, business initiatives and/or systems solutions. Develops comprehensive and in-depth understanding of current transaction banking products and operating model framework with the intention of establishing and documenting detailed future state structure and processes. Assists with designing and/or reengineering existing business processes or tools and documents operational processes to assist in managing operational risks, streamlining processes and reducing overall costs. Creates tangible/measurable operational efficiencies through the application of business, financial, and process engineering knowledge. Key Responsibilities • Contributes to a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. • Manage and contribute to a complex, multi-faceted project and system implementation to meet the cross-geographical strategic transaction banking needs of Global Operations and the various business lines by applying financial and technological knowledge to the introduction of new procedures, business initiatives and/or systems solutions. This includes, but is not limited to: - Preparing/managing detailed action/project plans - Undertaking critical research and analysis to inform current state and best practices - Participate in system training & develop a training program to educate Operations users - Defining a test plan & related test cases to conduct Unit Test, Integrated Systems Testing, User Acceptance Testing - Accurately and clearly defining business requirements on behalf of Operations to concurrent workstreams - Acting as SME where possible - Liaising directly with users, suppliers and external regulatory bodies as required • Develop comprehensive and in-depth understanding of current transaction banking products & operating model framework with the intention of establishing and documenting detailed future state structure & processes as determined. This includes, but is not limited to: - Development of policies, procedures, knowledge libraries and job aids - Development of comprehensive metrics utilized across all levels of organization • Assist with designing and/or reengineering existing business processes, or tools, and document operational processes to assist in managing operational risks, streamlining processes and reducing overall costs. Create tangible/measurable operational efficiencies through the application of business, financial, and process engineering knowledge. • Demonstrate a high level of professional service and effective communication within cross-functional internal and external parties to meet and deliver milestones on-time and/or ahead of schedule. • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. • Thrive in an environment in which the team pursues effective and efficient operations of respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct. Required Skills • Superior technical knowledge in MS Office tools and process management software (Visio, PPT, Excel) • Experience with business analysis tools and methodologies (JIRA/Confluence) • Experience with project management principles and practices (Agile, Waterfall) • Strong communications and influencing skills • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills • Solid process/procedural documentation skills • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment Preferred Skills • Certification in business analysis • Consultancy/FinTech background Education Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field Required Experience • 3–6 years of experience as a Business Analyst, specifically in Transaction Products with solid understanding of Corporate/Commercial Deposits and back office operational processes/interfaces and risk management techniques • 2 years of UAT experience • 3 years of experience with business analysis tools and methodologies (JIRA/Confluence) • 3 years of experience with project management principles and practices (Agile, Waterfall) Nice-to-Have Experience • Consultancy or FinTech background Important Notes • Interview process: 2 rounds — Round 1: Hiring Manager, 30 minutes via MS Teams video; Round 2: Hiring Manager panel (change team), 30 minutes via MS Teams video. • Scotiabank will review any requests for accommodations put forward by Suppliers.
