Responsibilities
A client with Kforce is seeking a Card Base resource to join their team onsite in Brown Deer, Wisconsin (WI). Responsibilities: Key Tasks:
β’ Design, code, test, implement, maintain, and support applications software that is delivered on time and within budget
β’ Work closely with customers, business analysts and team members to understand business requirements that drive analysis and design of quality technical solutions ensuring alignment with business and IT strategies and complying with company architectural standards
β’ Provides written design documents, test plans and test results
β’ Manages, develops, integrates, and implements related applications components including front-end development, server-side development, and database integration
β’ Plays a direct role in programming, maintenance, technical support, documentation, and administration of the applications
β’ Establishes and communicates standards to manage cost and ensure continuity of applications
β’ May work with outside vendors in developing tests to ensure feature functionality
β’ Suggests technical alternatives and improves and streamlines processes and systems
β’ Completes project assignments and special projects commensurate with job expectations
β’ Conducts planning, analysis, and forecasting activities to plan projects and tasks
β’ May provide leadership and/or guidance to other technical professionals
Requirements
β’ A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
β’ Experience with mainframe development with skills in performing requirement analysis, design, and coding in Cardbase
β’ Business knowledge and understanding of Debit Card payment processing and Cardbase
β’ Experience with Scaled Agile Framework for Enterprises (SAFe)
β’ Knowledge of the principles of multiple applications development methodologies
β’ Knowledge of data networks and web security
β’ Willingly shares relevant technical and/or industry knowledge and expertise to other resources
β’ Knowledge of mainframe development and debugging tools
β’ Proficiency in at least one applications development methodology
β’ Knowledge of project management
β’ Proficiency in Cobol, JCL
β’ Ability to demonstrate a high level of critical thinking, making sound and timely decisions under conditions of ambiguity and uncertainty
β’ Proficiency to identify and correct basic coding errors
β’ Proficiency to implement a design using the project-specific tools
β’ Proficiency to manage and coordinate test activities for assigned application
β’ Excellent customer service skills that build high levels of customer satisfaction for internal and external customers
β’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization (e.g., executive, management, individual contributors)
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
