Overview
This contract role supports Software Infrastructure and Support Services, focusing on Change Management and Process & Controls for compliance with federal and energy-sector regulations (NERC CIP, DOE, FISMA, NIST). The analyst serves as point-of-contact and technical lead for one area while providing backup support for the other.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and document processes to meet compliance/security standards.
• Provide audit support, closure evidence, and compliance reporting.
• Coordinate IT change management for hardware, software, and databases.
• Track change requests, validate testing, and monitor compliance reports.
• Maintain and oversee configuration management databases and related tools.
• Draft training materials, lead sessions, and support process rollouts.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure regulatory compliance and quality data management.
• Prepare technical reports, system documentation, and risk assessments.
REQUIREMENTS
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Systems, Engineering, Arts, Science or a directly related technical field is preferred.
• With an applicable Associate’s degree, 10 years of experience required.
• With an applicable Bachelor’s degree, 8 years of experience is required.
• Without an applicable degree, 12 years of experience is required.
Required Technical Skills & Experience
• 2 years previous compliance and/or audit support experience
• Experience in the use of change and configuration management tools/systems
• Experience with process development and roll-out
Preferred Skills & Experience
• Experience in all aspects of the software development lifecycle for a high availability environment
• Experience using centralized repository based CMDB tools
• Knowledge of and experience working with: Software development Lifecycle methodologies, Systems development and maintenance environments, High availability environments, Project management and coordination concepts and principles, Compliance and standards as applied to systems development and program management
• Experience in any aspect of the software development lifecycle for a utility environment.
• Experience with the set-up, configuration or oversight of change and/or configuration management tools
