Role description
Job Title: Citrix Services Engineer / Citrix Platform Lead
Location: Remote
Duration: 12+ Months
Role Summary
The Citrix Services Engineer / Citrix Platform Lead will own the design, migration, stabilization, and ongoing support of multiple Citrix environments spanning Corporate Non‑EC, Aerospace EC (QA and Production), and a new Citrix DaaS site supporting MRO applications. This role will lead complex migrations (e.g., TPGEDMS and CAMS in MES‑SFM), decommission legacy sites post‑transition, build and deploy NetScalers/ADC for shop-floor access, and ensure secure, compliant, highly available service delivery. The ideal candidate combines deep Citrix expertise (CVAD, StoreFront, NetScaler/ADC, Workspace) with strong change management, patch compliance, and stakeholder communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Existing Non‑EC Corporate Citrix Site
• Ensure all published applications are fully migrated prior to TSA end (Transition Services Agreement).
• Decommission the Corporate Citrix Site once migrations are verified and signed off.
1. New Non‑EC Aerospace Citrix Site (currently complete and in production)
• Partner with the TPGEDMS application team to migrate from Corporate Citrix to Aerospace Citrix.
• Provide ongoing support: updates, fixes, cumulative updates/hotfixes, and security patching per release cadence and policy.
• Maintain health: StoreFront, Delivery Controllers, VDA versioning, FAS/STS (if applicable), profile/UBA stability.
1. Existing Corporate EC Citrix QA Site (MES‑SFM)
• Continue steady-state support (availability, performance, incident/problem management).
• Decommission the site once Aerospace migration is fully complete and validated.
1. New EC Citrix QA Site (MES‑SFM) (site complete as of January 2026)
• Provide ongoing support: platform updates, monthly/quarterly security patches, performance tuning.
• Ensure EC compliance controls are upheld (role-based access, logging, separation, encryption).
1. Existing EC Citrix Production Site :
• Design, build, and configure the new Citrix Production Site to replace Corporate EC Prod.
• Build and deploy two new NetScalers/ADC for StandardAero shop‑floor access to the new site.
• Assist migration of the CAMS (MES‑SFM) application to the new site (testing, cutover, rollback plan).
• After all, nine shop floors have migrated, provide ongoing operational support and continuous improvement.
1. New Citrix DaaS Site
• Design, build, and configure a Citrix DaaS site for Critical application (covering both Non‑EC and EC application contexts).
• Enable the application teams to integrate other apps with the new DaaS (launch methods, policies, MFA/SAML).
• Provide ongoing operations support: scaling, image management, capacity planning, patching, DR readiness.
Operational Excellence & Governance
• Own platform patch compliance, change management, and release calendar (Citrix CVAD/DaaS, VDA, ADC/NetScaler, StoreFront).
• Maintain standard build artifacts: gold images, MCS/PVS strategies, GPOs, HDX policies, Citrix policies, and WEM (if used).
• Implement monitoring & observability (Director, ADM/NetScaler Analytics, SIEM integration, synthetic tests).
• Ensure security posture: TLS, certificates, FAS/SAML, MFA, conditional access, least privilege, hardening baselines.
• Produce runbooks, architecture diagrams, migration playbooks, and rollback contingencies.
• Manage capacity & performance (load balancing, autoscale, session reliability, profile performance).
• Coordinate with network, security, app owners, shop-floor ops and change advisory board (CAB).
Required Qualifications
• 8–10+ years hands-on Citrix experience across CVAD (Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops), StoreFront, NetScaler/ADC, Citrix DaaS/Cloud, and Director/ADM.
• Proven migration and decommission experience in multi‑site Citrix environments.
• Expertise in NetScaler/ADC: gateway, content switching, SSL/TLS, authentication policies, HA.
• Proficiency with VDA lifecycle, MCS/PVS, image management, application publishing (Desktop/App).
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, SAML/FAS, MFA, and certificate management.
• Experience supporting manufacturing/shop‑floor environments (MES‑SFM, CAMS) with uptime SLAs.
• Solid grasp of security patching, vulnerability remediation, and compliance standards (esp. EC contexts).
• Familiarity with automation/scripting (PowerShell) for operational tasks, builds, and audits.
Preferred Qualifications
• Citrix certifications: CC‑V, CCE‑V, CWS‑215/315, or equivalent.
• Experience with Aerospace/Defense environments and Non‑EC/EC segregation and controls.
• Knowledge of profile solutions (FSLogix, UPM), WEM, App Layering, and Azure/AWS infrastructure for DaaS.
• Experience integrating TPGEDMS, CAMS (MES‑SFM), and MRO applications within Citrix.
• Background in ITIL service management and CAB processes.
Key Deliverables & Milestones
• TSA Exit Readiness: All Non‑EC Corporate Citrix published apps migrated and site decommissioned.
• TPGEDMS Migration: Successful cutover to Aerospace Citrix, validated performance & access.
• EC QA Transition: Maintain QA site, decommission post‑Aerospace migration with sign‑off.
• Aerospace EC QA Support: Stable operations with documented patch cycles and KPIs.
• EC Production Build: New Citrix Prod site designed, built, ADCs deployed for StandardAero, CAMS migrated.
• Nine Shop Floors Migration: Sequential, risk‑managed cutovers with zero major incidents.
• MRO Citrix DaaS: New site live for Non‑EC & EC MRO applications, with operational runbooks and monitoring.
Application & Interview Notes
• Candidates should be prepared to discuss prior Citrix migrations, ADC/NetScaler design decisions, DaaS vs. CVAD trade‑offs, and how they handled EC controls and TSA timelines.
• A short technical assessment (PowerShell automation, Citrix policy tuning scenario) may be included.
