Job Title: Azure Data Architect Location: Iselin, NJ Duration: Long-term Contract Experience: 10+ years Domain: Banking / Financial Services Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Data Architect with extensive experience in designing and implementing enterprise-level data solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in cloud-native data architecture, advanced analytics, and data governance—preferably within the Banking/Financial Services domain. Key Responsibilities • Design, architect, and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing Azure data solutions. • Lead the migration of on-premises data warehouses, ETL processes, and reporting systems to Azure cloud services. • Define and implement data architecture best practices, including data modeling, data quality, governance, and security standards. • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions. • Implement data lake, data warehouse, and real-time streaming solutions using Azure Synapse, Data Lake, and Event Hubs. • Optimize performance of large-scale data processing systems and ensure compliance with financial industry regulations. • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior data engineers and developers. Required Skills & Qualifications • 10+ years of overall IT experience with at least 5+ years in Data Architecture. • Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Services: • Azure Synapse Analytics • Azure Data Factory (ADF) • Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) • Azure Databricks • Azure SQL Database / SQL DW • Expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data integration frameworks. • Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, security, and compliance practices. • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Spark. • Experience in Banking/Financial Services domain (risk, compliance, trading, or payments data). • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. Preferred Qualifications • Azure Data Engineer or Solution Architect certification. • Experience with real-time data streaming (Kafka, Event Hub, IoT Hub). • Exposure to Machine Learning/AI integration in cloud data platforms.
