Outside IR35 – Fully remote (UK ONLY) - Senior Azure Cloud Engineer – Terraform & Kubernetes Expert A leading consultancy is seeking a highly skilled Azure Cloud Engineer to join a strategic cloud transformation programme for a major global insurance client. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on delivering robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions on Microsoft Azure. We’re looking for someone with deep expertise in CI/CD and Artifactory, alongside strong proficiency in Terraform and Kubernetes. You’ll be working closely with cloud architects and DevOps teams to drive automation, performance, and reliability across the platform. Key Responsibilities: • Design and implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform for Azure. • Deploy and manage containerized workloads with Kubernetes (AKS). • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. • Integrate and manage Artifactory for artifact storage and deployment workflows. • Collaborate on cloud architecture and deployment strategies. • Ensure high availability, security, and cost-efficiency of cloud environments. • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers. • Document infrastructure designs and operational procedures. Essential Skills: • Proven experience with Microsoft Azure core services. • Expert-level knowledge of CI/CD practices and pipeline automation. • Hands-on experience with Artifactory in enterprise environments. • Strong Terraform skills for Azure provisioning. • Solid Kubernetes (AKS) deployment and management experience. • Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash) and Git-based workflows. • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Desirable: • Experience with Helm, ArgoCD, and Kubernetes deployment tools. • Familiarity with Azure Policy, RBAC, and Security Center. • Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, CKA/CKAD).
