Job Title: AWS Developer Location: Des Moines, IA (Hybrid – 2–3 days/month onsite) Duration: 12 Months Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced AWS Developer with strong expertise in AWS CDK, TypeScript, and event-driven architecture. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing and developing APIs and AWS-based solutions while working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using TypeScript and AWS services • Design and implement event-driven architectures • Create and manage infrastructure using AWS CDK (Infrastructure as Code) • Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and cost-efficient • Maintain technical documentation and support production deployments • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in code reviews • Mentor junior team members on cloud best practices Must-Have Qualifications: • 5+ years of software development experience • Strong hands-on experience with AWS, especially using AWS CDK • Proficiency in TypeScript • Experience in API development and DevOps practices • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Preferred Skills: • Event-driven architecture experience • Experience with AWS services: • Lambda • API Gateway • Route 53 • DynamoDB • EventBridge • SQS • GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines • Solution architecture experience • Background in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
