Role description
Responsibilities Kforce has a client seeking a Cloud Data Developer in Miami, FL (Florida). Responsibilities: β€’ Design and implement data pipelines to move and transform data from various sources into cloud-based data warehouses β€’ Develop and maintain ETL processes using tools such as dbt, Fivetran, Matillion, Snow Streams and tasks, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, PL SQL and Snowflake Dataflow on AWS β€’ Good understanding of OLTP and OLAP Cubes, dimensional model β€’ Optimize data storage and retrieval by designing and implementing data partitioning, indexing, and compression strategies β€’ Build and maintain data processing infrastructure on cloud platforms such as AWS β€’ Good understanding of source control through Github and scheduling pipelines/tasks through Control M β€’ Collaborate with business and analysts to ensure data quality, accuracy, and availability for analysis and reporting β€’ Led Complex System Design, Integration and Development β€’ Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance β€’ Implement security and access controls to protect sensitive data in cloud-based environments β€’ Automate data processing tasks using scripting languages such as Python or Bash β€’ Research and evaluate new technologies and tools to improve data processing efficiency and scalability β€’ Mentor and train junior data engineers and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams β€’ Perform other job-related functions as assigned β€’ Work with cross development teams, Data Scientists, Database/ system administrators and Project Management Office as part of Data Engineering team and assist in research, development & implementation of special projects, as needed β€’ Support existing legacy and new data warehouses β€’ Preferably has good understanding of Revenue Management so that candidate can relate things back functionally Requirements β€’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related field of study, or any combination of relevant work experience and education β€’ 7+ years of experience developing, validating, and implementing data warehouses, data systems or cloud-based data solutions β€’ Experience in data engineering with a focus on data warehousing and data products β€’ Experience with multiple data modeling approaches, SQL, and scripting programming languages like Python and PowerShell β€’ Experience with Agile methods & tools like JIRA. Experience leading and coaching a team members β€’ Proven experience in data warehousing technologies, data products, legacy system management, strong communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities β€’ Strong listening, presentation, and interpersonal skills β€’ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills β€’ Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment β€’ Ability to drive results independently. Innovation, Process Improvement, Creativity, and Clean-Sheet Reinvention β€’ Proven success with collaboration between cross functional teams β€’ Demonstrated understanding of agile methodologies, QA practices and user experience, with strong digital & technical skills β€’ Experienced with collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, Lucid Chart) β€’ Strong understanding of databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, Snowflake β€’ Experience with traditional on-prem virtual and physical infrastructure, as well as cloud-based environments, preferably AWS β€’ Excellent understanding of Windows, and Linux based infrastructure β€’ Working knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
