Job#: 3031557 Job Description: Job Title: Cloud Data Engineer Location: Charlotte, NC or Tysons Corner, VA (Hybrid - 3x/week) Contract Length: 18 Months Contract Pay Rate: $53/hour - $57/hour Note: We are unable to consider C2C or third-party submissions Role Overview As a Cloud Data Storage and Data Engineering Subject Matter Expert, you will support secure, scalable, and compliant cloud data platforms. This role involves advising on and contributing to moderately complex engineering initiatives, ensuring alignment with security policies and enterprise best practices. You will collaborate with stakeholders to design and optimize data lakes, data warehouses, and hybrid architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP. Key Responsibilities • Consult on and support moderately complex Information Security Engineering initiatives. • Design and evaluate secure cloud data storage solutions. • Support data lakes, data warehouses, and hybrid cloud architectures. • Define and review data models, schema designs, and governance structures. • Contribute to resolving security and data engineering challenges across cloud platforms. • Provide strategic guidance to optimize data structures for analytics and reporting. • Collaborate with internal engineering teams and stakeholders. • Ensure solutions align with security policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Required Qualifications Experience: 4+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education. 4+ years of Cloud Data Storage and Data Engineering experience across Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Technical Skills: Experience designing secure, scalable, high-performance cloud data platforms. This includes expertise in data lakes, data warehouses, hybrid architectures, data modeling, schema design, and governance. Professional Skills: Solid communication skills for collaboration with client personnel and internal teams. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with SQL Server. • Experience with Application Management. • Proficiency with PowerPoint. Compensation & Benefits The pay rate for this position is $53.00/hr to $56.00/hr. A benefits package may be available to eligible employees.
