Role Summary The client is hiring a Mid-Level Cloud Data Engineer to support its large-scale data aggregation efforts. This role is ideal for someone with 5+ years of hands-on experience who is hungry to grow, curious about AWS, and passionate about data engineering. You’ll work alongside senior engineers and architects, contributing to cloud-native data pipelines and gaining exposure to AWS services, Postgres, and CI/CD workflows.
Ideal Candidate Profile - 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering.
• Eager to grow into a senior-level role.
• Strong aptitude and attitude—curious, proactive, and communicative.
• Financial services background is a plus.
• Passionate about cloud data engineering Top Technical Requirements - Python (Solid): Ability to write and maintain Python scripts used in data processing.
• SQL & Postgres (Strong Fundamentals): Experience with relational databases and query optimization.
• AWS Exposure (Lambda, S3, Step Functions): Familiarity with AWS services is expected; hands-on experience is a plus.
• GitHub & Version Control: Basic understanding of code repositories and deployment workflows.
• ETL Concepts: Understanding of data ingestion, transformation, and delivery. Responsibilities - Support development and maintenance of AWS-based data pipelines.
• Assist in managing Postgres databases and writing SQL queries.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to learn and contribute to platform improvements.
• Participate in code reviews and deployment processes.
• Help monitor data systems using CloudWatch and Datadog.
• Contribute to documentation and data quality efforts.
