Cloud Database Engineer

Responsibilities Kforce has a client that is seeking a Cloud Database Engineer in Westlake, TX. Key Tasks: • Performing Oracle 12c and 19c administration • Involved in enterprise level cloud database initiatives • Data migration and replication using GoldenGate and/or Cloud Database Migration Service/Assistant Requirements • 8-10+ plus years of performing Oracle 12c and 19c administration • 3-5 years of actively involved in enterprise level cloud database initiatives • Expertise in data migration and replication using GoldenGate and/or Cloud Database Migration Service/Assistant • Significant background in solving complex technology challenges • Expertise in two or more AWS cloud-based database technologies • Expertise in DBMS systems (Oracle, Postgres, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (Cassandra) • Expertise in Distributed replication technologies (Oracle Goldengate, DataGuard, etc.) • Expertise in cloud data platforms viz., RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB and Snowflake • Leadership in a functional team setting with a flexible attitude • Ability to quickly synthesize ideas, options, and thoughts into solutions • Expertise performing requirement reviews and contributing to architecture decisions • Database CI/CD delivery expertise using common tools and framework • Performing design evaluations for migration strategies for on-premise physical databases to cloud • Dynamic working - post pandemic Notes: Our aim is to combine the best of working offsite with coming together in person.
