Job Title: Cloud Developer - AWS Connect Location: Woodlawn, Maryland Type: Contract-to-Hire Work Model: Onsite Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance Citizenship Requirement: U.S. Citizenship required Position Overview We are seeking a skilled AWSCloud Developer to support a large-scale federal agency focused on delivering essential health and human services to millions of Americans. This is a high-impact role that combines cloud engineering with mission-driven work in the public sector. As part of a collaborative development team supporting a major government transformation initiative, you’ll help modernize contact center operations using AWS Connect and other AWS services. This role is ideal for candidates with a passion for building secure, scalable, and user-focused cloud solutions that make a real difference. Responsibilities β€’ Design, develop, and implement AWS Connect solutions, including new applications or modifications to existing systems β€’ Analyze existing operations and recommend enhancements or updates β€’ Maintain and improve current processes in response to evolving requirements or platform updates β€’ Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document system requirements β€’ Create and maintain process flow documentation β€’ Develop solutions within integrated cloud environments Required Qualifications Education & Experience: β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field β€’ 7+ years of experience in enterprise-scale development environments β€’ 7+ years of hands-on experience with AWS Cloud platform β€’ 3+ years of experience working specifically with Amazon Connect β€’ 3+ years of experience using Node.js, Python, or Java for development β€’ 3+ years of experience designing call routing and messaging systems Technical Skills: β€’ Deep expertise in AWS Cloud and AWS Connect development β€’ Strong knowledge of IVR systems, ACD (Automatic Call Distribution), skill-based routing, and live chat functionality β€’ Experience documenting and designing process flows β€’ Solid verbal and written communication skills System One, and its subsidiaries including JoulΓ©, ALTA IT Services, and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
