Role description
Title: Cloud Developer Location: NYC,NY/Pittsburgh,PA/LakeMary,FL(Locals Only) Job Type: Contract Role Summary Seeking an experienced Cloud Developer to join its Cloud Engineering team. The role involves designing, developing, and deploying cloud automation solutions across Azure, AWS, or GCP platforms, with a strong emphasis on infrastructure as code, cloud migrations, and security integration. Key Responsibilities β€’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud solutions and global infrastructure initiatives. β€’ Use infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform Enterprise, Azure Resource Manager) to provision resources. β€’ Write secure, efficient, and maintainable code in languages like Java and Python. β€’ Build applications using AKS, serverless functions (e.g., AWS Lambda), and web technologies. β€’ Migrate on-prem applications to cloud platforms (Azure or GCP). β€’ Participate in the full software development lifecycle. β€’ Continuously improve development processes through feedback loops. β€’ Integrate with AAD & IAM in cloud environments. β€’ Provide operational and user-facing documentation. β€’ Stay current with cloud technologies and development practices. Required Qualifications β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. β€’ 5+ years (10+ preferred) experience as a Cloud Developer or Software Developer. β€’ Expertise in Terraform for infrastructure as code. β€’ Strong proficiency in Java or Python. β€’ Expertise in one or more cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP); multi-cloud exposure preferred. β€’ Familiarity with: o Serverless apps, AKS/EKS o SD-WAN, ExpressRoute, Network Security (Firewall/NSG), DNS, Storage, Monitoring, Logging o DevOps & CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Terraform, Ansible, GitHub/GitLab) o API and microservice architecture β€’ Experience with AI tools like Azure OpenAI, Document Intelligence, AI Search, Vertex, Gemini, Agentspaces is a plus. Preferred Qualifications β€’ Experience developing large-scale, secure, resilient, and cost-effective solutions. β€’ Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Serverless, and Cloud Messaging. β€’ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. β€’ Experience designing and implementing APIs. β€’ Basic experience with cloud databases (SQL, NoSQL, Azure Cache for Redis) and UNIX/Windows environments. β€’ Contributions to open-source projects. β€’ Curiosity and continuous learning mindset. β€’ Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
