Executive Summary
We are seeking a strategic, resourceful, and high-performing Cloud DevOps Engineer specializing in Argo Workflows to build automation and managed service products in AWS. This role requires advanced technical capabilities in cloud environments, expertise in Kubernetes and Argo Workflows, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to deliver workflow-based automations for greenfield projects. You will be responsible for workflow deployment, optimization, troubleshooting, and supporting the operational reliability of production systems.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Design, create, and manage Argo Workflows within AWS and Kubernetes environments
β’ Optimize Argo Workflow deployments for performance and scalability
β’ Invoke workflows across EKS clusters and AWS account boundaries
β’ Troubleshoot Kubernetes (EKS) and Argo Workflow issues, ensuring operational reliability
β’ Collaborate with development and ops teams to align workflows with application requirements
β’ Implement automations using Bash, Python, or Go
β’ Establish and maintain monitoring/logging tools for observing workflow health and performance
β’ Support production Argo Workflows with high availability and disaster recovery approaches
β’ Drive quality and continual improvement in all workflow operations
Skills & Qualifications
β’ Minimum of 6 yearsβ experience in cloud DevOps, including deep expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, and Argo Workflows
β’ Strong understanding of Kubernetes principles and EKS cluster management
β’ Proven ability to create, manage, and optimize Argo Workflows
β’ Hands-on experience with GitLab (project creation, file templating, pipeline management)
β’ Familiarity with Helm templating, ArgoCD, GitOps, and Terraform (nice to have)
β’ Experience deploying/managing SaaS and automation solutions
β’ Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills; attention to detail for complex integrations
β’ Programming experience with Bash, Python, or Go for workflow automation
β’ Effective communicator and client interaction skills
β’ Self-directed learner able to work independently with minimal supervision
β’ Quality ownership mindset in delivery of automation solutions
Nice to Have
β’ Experience building automation solutions and SaaS platforms
β’ Argo Workflow support for production systems (HA/DR and related approaches)
β’ CI/CD and related DevOps tools expertise
