β’ Implement monitoring, performance tuning, and cost-optimization best practices for cloud-based GIS workloads
β’ Ensure compliance with security, governance, and disaster recovery protocols during migration and ongoing operations
β’ Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues spanning cloud infrastructure and application layers
β’ Participate in a weekend on-call rotation to support critical platform issues (approximately once every 2-3 months)
β’ Mentor junior engineers and champion best practices for cloud adoption and platform reliability
Requirements
β’ Strong experience with ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise components (Server, Portal, Data Store, Web Adaptor) in both on-prem and cloud settings
β’ Proven expertise with AWS cloud infrastructure and services
β’ Proficient in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
β’ Solid understanding of Tomcat or similar application servers
β’ Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitLab or similar tools
β’ Willingness to support weekend on-call rotations (rotating every few months)

β’ Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and EKS (or similar container orchestration platforms)
β’ Monitoring and alerting experience using DataDog or comparable tools
β’ Comfortable working with Windows and Linux operating systems
β’ Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn new technologies
