Role description
Summary MoodysNWC is looking for a Cloud DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in DevOps automation, Kubernetes, and containerization, along with a working knowledge of Cloud FinOps principles. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing our cloud infrastructure and automation pipelines, while ensuring cost efficiency and operational excellence. Role & Responsibilities β€’ Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions. β€’ Develop and manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools. β€’ Automate cloud operations, deployments, and environment provisioning. β€’ Deploy, manage, and monitor Kubernetes clusters in cloud environments (AWS EKS, Azure AKS, GCP GKE). β€’ Implement containerized applications using Docker, Helm, and other orchestration tools. β€’ Ensure scalability, availability, and security of containerized workloads. β€’ Work with AWS, Azure, or GCP to architect and optimize cloud environments. β€’ Apply Cloud FinOps practices to monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud costs. β€’ Implement governance and tagging strategies for resource tracking and cost allocation. β€’ Set up and manage observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.). β€’ Implement DevSecOps best practices to ensure compliance and security in CI/CD pipelines. β€’ Perform proactive troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Skills β€’ 6+ years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering roles. β€’ Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration. β€’ Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, Go, etc.). β€’ Strong experience with IaC (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation). β€’ Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK). β€’ Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP). β€’ Understanding of cloud cost structures, billing, and optimization strategies. β€’ Familiarity with tools like AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, or CloudHealth. β€’ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. β€’ Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. β€’ Ability to work in fast-paced, agile environments. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The salary for this position ranges from $120,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $160,000/year in our highest geographic market.Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
