Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Mid-Level Cloud DevOps Engineer (AWS & EKS) to support the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of mission-critical applications running on AWS EKS (Kubernetes). You will be responsible for maintaining infrastructure as code, ensuring system reliability, and improving observability through automation and dashboards. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with Kubernetes, AWS services, Helm, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities
• Upgrade internal applications and third-party dependencies deployed on Amazon EKS
• Provision and configure new AWS resources (EC2, EKS, S3, etc.)
• Manage EKS cluster upgrades and routine patching
• Diagnose and resolve Kubernetes issues (e.g., pod evictions, CPU/memory throttling)
• Monitor and respond to infrastructure alerts and handle runtime performance issues
• Manage and maintain Helm charts and Docker image repositories (VG repos)
• Support GitLab and Bitbucket-based Infrastructure as Code (IaC) projects using CloudFormation Templates (CFTs)
• Upgrade AMI-based EC2 instances and associated RDS/other AWS services
• Create, maintain, and enhance Grafana dashboards to improve visibility into system health
• Integrate and maintain Loki and Prometheus for centralized logging and metrics
• Communicate with the functional business teams
• Preferred Responsibilities
• AWS Certification (e.g., Associate or DevOps Engineer)
• Experience with Linux systems administration
• Familiarity with scripting (Bash, Python)
• Exposure to GitOps workflows and automated deployment pipelines
Qualifications
• 5-7 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineer role
• Strong expertise in AWS services, especially EKS, EC2, RDS, IAM, S3
• Experience with JavaScript, Typescript and Node
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes operations, Helm, and Docker
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Git, GitLab, Bitbucket
• Proficiency in maintaining and deploying infrastructure with CloudFormation Templates
• Familiarity with Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, and system performance monitoring
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills across containerized environments
• Proven track record in staying informed on emerging technology architecture, products and concepts and upskilling on them quickly.
• Enthusiasm to understand/learn and apply emerging architecture and technology concepts.
• Should have an innovative mindset enabling the person to suggest tweaks to make existing processes more efficient
• Ability to work across a broad range of technology opportunities and learn new concepts quickly.
