Job title: Cloud DevOps Engineer Location: Lowell, MA Position: 12+ months contract Role Summary β€’ We are seeking a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and support scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure. β€’ This role will drive our infrastructure automation, cloud services, and CI/CD practices across environments, with a strong emphasis on AWS, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code tooling. β€’ You’ll be part of a high-performing team focused on rapid delivery, system reliability, and continuous improvement. β€’ Working with our customer means collaborating with engineers and designers who bring decades of experience across multiple disciplines and are passionate about building high-impact systems. Key Responsibilities β€’ Design and manage infrastructure using AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform. β€’ Build and support CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient and reliable deployments. β€’ Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef. β€’ Write and maintain infrastructure-as-code and configuration-as-code for all environments. β€’ Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize infrastructure performance, availability, and cost. β€’ Integrate and manage third-party tools, plug-ins, and internal scripts as needed. β€’ Create and maintain technical documentation, including runbooks and architecture diagrams. β€’ Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to improving incident response processes. β€’ Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure infrastructure meets application and business needs. Education β€’ Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering / Software Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent Experience β€’ 7+ years of experience working as Devops engineer. β€’ 7+ years of DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering experience. β€’ 5+ years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS (GCP or Azure a plus). β€’ Strong Linux administration skills in production environments. β€’ Experience managing Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads (Docker). β€’ Expertise in Terraform and infrastructure automation practices. β€’ Proficiency in scripting with Python and Bash. β€’ Experience with tools like Git, Jenkins, and artifact repositories. β€’ Familiarity with networking fundamentals such as DNS, DHCP, VPN, and LDAP. β€’ Experience with monitoring and logging systems such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or equivalent. β€’ Strong understanding of cloud networking, VPCs, security groups, and IAM policies. β€’ Comfortable working with Agile teams and tools like JIRA and Confluence Nice To Have β€’ Experience with Helm and managing Kubernetes via Helm charts. β€’ Exposure to hybrid environments (cloud + on-prem). β€’ Familiarity with secrets management tools (e.g., HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager). β€’ Experience mentoring engineers or leading DevOps initiatives.
