Role description
Summary
Cloud Engineer to support the FEPBridge Infrastructure Team and be responsible for managing and optimizing current AWS and remaining on-prem environments (expecting to fully migrate to AWS within the next 8 months.) The hired employee will be responsible for provisioning of EC2 instances, ensuring availability and recovery, handling DNS, S3 buckets, static IPs, load balancers (NLB/ALB), and supporting connectivity with APIs, URLs, and firewall rules, and collaborating with cross-functional teams handling hardware, operating systems, networking, firewalls, IAM, and load balancers.
Requirements:
✅ 5+ years of experience in core IT infrastructure management
✅ 4+ years of hands-on AWS experience (EC2 provisioning, S3, IAM, availability zones/regions)
✅ Strong understanding of network architecture, DNS, static IPs, NLBs, and ALBs
✅ Experience with SFTP/FTP, web service (API) connectivity, and message queues (MQ) — MQ required (IBM MQ a plus) – They will not develop APIs
✅ Basic scripting skills in Linux/Windows environments
✅ Comfortable working on occasional evening/weekend maintenance or patching activities
✅ Experience with any monitoring tool on a user-level
