Role description
Responsibilities Kforce has a client that is seeking a Cloud Engineer in Smithfield, RI. Summary: As a member of DC Platforms, you will blend deep data engineering, cloud, and development expertise to help evolve recordkeeping system. We are seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our technical team to help design, build, and prove foundational data-centric capabilities. Requirements β€’ Bachelor's degree required and at least 10 years of hands-on experience in data and cloud Engineering β€’ Shell scripting experience β€’ Linux environment experience β€’ Solid experience in writing complex SQL queries on Oracle (PL/SQL) β€’ Hand-on experience with performance optimization and tunning approaches, SQL tuning β€’ Experience working with large data sets β€’ Experience with ETL strategies, design, and development β€’ Experience with resiliency and stability design principals, including SRE β€’ Technical leader -leading define, build, prove cycles β€’ Excellent communicator β€’ Expert collaborator β€’ Continuous learner β€’ Mentor and coach to the team's data engineering associates β€’ Public Cloud expertise (Azure preferred) β€’ Familiarity with large complex system design β€’ Familiarity with distribution application design and development (Java, .Net, Python) would be a plus β€’ Financial services experience preferred The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs.
