Salary: DOE Description We are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our team on a contract basis in Dublin, Ohio. This role involves executing an intricate migration project, transitioning infrastructure and applications from Microsoft Azure to Expedient hosting environments. The ideal candidate will thrive in dynamic settings, adapt to shifting priorities, and demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities • Lead the migration of applications, databases, and infrastructure from Azure to Expedient hosting environments. • Configure and validate the migration of three large SQL Server databases to ensure data integrity and functionality. • Set up and optimize a new test environment within Expedient. • Refactor and transition over 50 Azure Logic Apps into the Visual Kron environment. • Collaborate on the migration and enhancement of VB.NET and .NET applications as required. • Participate in daily standups and provide progress updates to stakeholders. • Partner with subsidiary resources to ensure seamless project execution and alignment. • Maintain adherence to project timelines and budgets, ensuring consistent progress. • Troubleshoot issues and implement solutions to meet project goals and requirements. Requirements • Proven expertise in Microsoft Azure, including VM management, networking, storage, and application migrations. • Advanced skills in SQL Server database migration, configuration, and validation. • Proficiency in .NET and VB.NET development, with the ability to troubleshoot and refactor applications. • Experience working in hybrid or multi-cloud environments, including Azure and Expedient. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Effective communication and collaboration skills, contributing positively to team efforts. • Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible and API development. • Knowledge of AWS technologies, including EC2, CloudWatch, and Auto Scaling.
