Genesis10 is seeking a Cloud Engineer for a 12+ month contract position with a client located in Waukesha, WI. This role is 100% onsite.
Summary:
The Cloud Engineer will play a key role in enabling secure device-to-cloud connectivity, with a focus on backend and full stack development. This role involves working closely with the architecture team to implement cloud-native solutions, build secure data pipelines, and optimize low-latency communication for healthcare-related applications.
Responsibilities:
• Implement device-to-cloud enablement solutions in collaboration with architects.
• Develop backend and full stack solutions using Python and Java, with microservices architecture.
• Ensure secure patient data exchange outside hospital networks while adhering to security and compliance standards (FDA, GDPR, HIPAA).
• Build and maintain secure, low-latency communication channels for data exchange.
• Work with security protocols including SSL, VPNs, and data encryption.
• Integrate cloud-native services including:
• AWS (preferred), Google Cloud Platform, or other cloud platforms.
• Amazon Fargate, CloudWatch, Lambda, EC2, RDS, and S3 buckets.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines leveraging AWS DevOps practices.
• Design and deploy containers and serverless architectures.
• Work with DICOM standards for medical imaging data (preferred).
• Develop and integrate APIs to support device-to-cloud connectivity.
Qualifications:
• Mid to senior-level experience in backend and/or full stack development.
• Strong programming skills in Python and Java, including microservices development.
• Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS preferred, Google Cloud Platform acceptable).
• Knowledge of cloud-native services such as Lambda, EC2, RDS, S3, and CloudWatch.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, AWS Fargate, etc.).
• Familiarity with healthcare domain requirements and compliance standards (FDA, GDPR, HIPAA) strongly preferred.
• Experience with data security protocols and secure data transfer.
• Understanding of networking concepts including VPN and public/private networks.
• DICOM standard knowledge a strong plus.
• Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
• Able to work as a W2 employee of Genesis10 (no corp to corp).
