Insight Global is seeking a highly motivated Cloud Engineer II to support one of the largest privately owned American freight transportation providers in a 6-12-month contract-to-hire engagement. The Cloud Engineer II role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's cloud infrastructure and solutions, developing and optimizing cloud-based applications and services, automating cloud operations, ensuring security and compliance, and providing technical mentorship and support. Required Skills & Experience • 4-5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a similar role. • Strong knowledge of cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), cloud architecture, and cloud services (e.g., compute, storage, networking, databases, security). • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation), scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash), and experience with automation tools. • Understanding of cloud best practices, security protocols, and compliance standards. • Experience with cloud infrastructure management tools, monitoring solutions, and cloud integration. • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures. • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills for complex cloud issues. • Strong communication, collaboration, and mentorship abilities. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
