Role description
Job Description:
• Design, build, and support scalable AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, S3, IAM, VPCs, Load Balancers).
• Manage network architecture, security groups, routing, and connectivity across hybrid environments.
• Perform on-prem to AWS migrations and implement best practices for optimization and cost efficiency.
• Configure and maintain IBM MQ or similar message queuing systems.
• Manage SFTP/FTP integrations and REST API connectivity across systems.
• Monitor system health using Dynatrace (or equivalent tools like Datadog/Prometheus).
• Work across Linux (90%) and Windows (10%) environments with basic scripting (Shell/Python/PowerShell).
• Participate in cloud automation, system upgrades, and environment hardening.
• Provide occasional evening or weekend support for maintenance and patching activities.
Required Skills & Experience:
• 5–7 years of overall infrastructure or systems engineering experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, ALB/NLB, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of networking, DNS, routing, firewalls, and security best practices.
• Experience with IBM MQ, SFTP/FTP, and REST API integration.
• Familiarity with Dynatrace, Datadog, or Prometheus monitoring tools.
• Comfortable working in Linux/Unix environments and automating with scripting languages.
Nice to Have:
• AWS Solutions Architect certification (preferred).
• Experience with cloud cost optimization and infrastructure performance tuning.
• Familiarity with Azure or multi-cloud environments.
• Prior experience in healthcare or payer systems (a plus).
Work Environment:
• Hybrid model: 2–3 onsite visits per month (may increase slightly).
• Evening/weekend support: occasional, mostly for planned maintenance.
• Contract-to-Hire: 12 months with potential for full-time conversion.
