Role: Cloud Engineer – Messaging
Location: Merrimack, NH - hybrid
Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Cloud Engineer to join our Messaging team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud technologies while building and maintaining messaging platforms that power modern digital services. The role requires deep technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a collaborative, global team environment.
Required Skills & Expertise
• Strong hands-on experience with Artemis MQ and IBM MQ.
• Expertise in public cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS).
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM Templates, or similar tools).
• Advanced skills in Kubernetes (K8s) for deploying and managing applications.
• Experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory (or equivalent tools like GitLab, Nexus).
• Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux systems and application deployment.
• Experience across the software development lifecycle (design, build, test, release, support).
• Proven ability to troubleshoot, resolve outages, and manage production releases.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, build, and deploy automated processes for installing, upgrading, and maintaining MQ platforms (Artemis MQ and IBM MQ) in public cloud environments.
• Support business teams in onboarding and integrating with messaging systems.
• Manage and enhance cloud-based platforms, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IAC) solutions for consistent and repeatable deployments.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, and Artifactory.
• Collaborate with globally distributed engineering teams to design, test, and release solutions.
• Provide on-call support for production environments, troubleshoot incidents, and ensure rapid resolution of issues.
• Continuously explore new cloud technologies and implement improvements in engineering practices.
Nice-to-Have Skills
• Cloud Certifications (Azure or AWS).
• Experience with additional container orchestration platforms (e.g., OpenShift).
