Role description
Contract: USD 55/hour
We are seeking a skilled AWS Engineer to design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure solutions leveraging Amazon Web Services. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with core AWS services, Infrastructure as Code, and automation to ensure high availability, security, and cost optimization of cloud environments supporting critical business applications.

β’ Key Responsibilities:

β’ - Architect and deploy scalable, secure AWS infrastructure using services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, ECS, and EKS.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK for consistent and repeatable deployments.
- Manage and optimize AWS costs using reserved instances, spot instances, and AWS cost management tools.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines integrating AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and third-party tools.
- Monitor system performance, set up alerts using CloudWatch and AWS X-Ray, and troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
- Enforce security best practices for IAM, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
- Automate operational tasks with Lambda, scripting, and AWS Systems Manager.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans including backup and multi-region replication.
- Collaborate with development teams on cloud architecture, containerization, and deployment optimization.

β’ - Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 yearsβ experience working with AWS services and cloud infrastructure.
- AWS Certification (Solutions Architect Associate or SysOps Administrator Associate minimum).
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Proficient scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, ECS, EKS).
- Strong networking knowledge including VPC, subnets, security groups, and load balancing.
- Understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.

β’ - Advanced AWS certifications (Professional or Specialty).
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools beyond AWS CloudWatch.
