Cloud Engineer

Responsibilities • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable and high-performance applications. • Design and implement RESTful web services to personalize user experiences. • Engage in pair programming and participate in TDD within an agile framework. • Ensure thorough validation of systems against requirements in partnership with BSAs and Product Managers. • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies. Skills • Strong expertise in building scalable applications with considerations for state, session management, and concurrency. • Proficiency in software development techniques, including patterns, principles, and processes. • Advanced skills in developing RESTful services using Groovy, Java, Jersey, and Spring. • Experience in a dev-ops environment with a focus on rapid functionality delivery. • BS/MS in computer science, engineering, or equivalent professional experience. Preferred Skills • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its products such as Data Flow and BigQuery. • Familiarity with Machine Learning libraries and NoSQL data stores. • Knowledge of open source software and experience with performance testing and tuning. • Background in cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or Hadoop. • DevOps infrastructure experience with tools like Chef, Puppet, or OpenStack.
