Azure Engineer Azure DevOps - Terraform - Migrations Initial 3 Month Contract, very likely to extend into 2026 Circa £400 per day, Outside IR35 Fully remote (Must be UK based) Start ASAP Unify have been exclusively engaged by a rapidly expanding Consulting partner, who require the services of an experienced Azure Transformation Engineer on a Contract basis for initially 3 months, starting ASAP! Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Azure Engineer to support a customer migrating and transforming workloads from an existing Azure platform onto a modernised Azure environment. The role will involve working closely with application teams to understand requirements, support migration activities, suggest transformations onto more modern services and enable adoption of Infrastructure as Code practices. Key Responsibilities: • Engage directly with application teams to capture needs, migration/transformation requirements, and dependencies. • Contribute to light-touch solution design to ensure workloads fit the target Azure platform. • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to provision and configure Azure resources. • Build and optimise Azure DevOps pipelines to support automated deployments and migrations. • Support workload migration and transformation, ensuring alignment with best practices and governance. • Provide hands-on engineering expertise to troubleshoot and resolve issues during migration. • Share knowledge and guidance with customer teams to build confidence in the new platform. Essential Skills & Experience: • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure (compute, networking, storage, identity, governance). • Proven skills in Terraform for IaC. • Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines. • Ability to produce and communicate light-touch design documentation. • Strong stakeholder engagement skills — able to talk directly with application teams, understand requirements, and translate into technical solutions. • Practical experience in migration and transformation of applications/workloads in Azure. • Familiarity with Enterprise Scale / Landing Zone concepts. Desirable Skills: • Exposure to configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, PowerShell DSC). • Understanding of cloud security, identity, and governance principles. This is an urgent requirement!
