Job Title: Senior Cloud Platform Engineer Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid – 2 days on-site per week) Rate: $50–60/hr W-2 contract (No C2C) Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on driving cloud infrastructure optimization, front-end integration, and reliability engineering within a complex AWS ecosystem. This role requires deep AWS expertise, strong Infrastructure as Code skills (Terraform), and excellent communication abilities to collaborate across engineering, leadership, and application teams. Key Responsibilities: • Evaluate, architect, and optimize scalable cloud solutions using AWS • Resolve application and infrastructure challenges related to AWS services (e.g., EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, CloudFront) • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve cloud reliability and reduce costs • Integrate front-end technologies (Vue.js, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3) into cloud-native environments • Build and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform • Partner with CI/CD teams to enhance deployment pipelines and automation • Participate in cloud modernization, hybrid-cloud strategy, and cross-functional collaboration • Serve as a subject matter expert on AWS foundational services, deployment, and security best practices • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executive leadership Required Skills & Experience: • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, CloudFront • Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and architecture design • Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management • Experience in front-end web development using Vue.js, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 • Background in cloud cost optimization and reliability engineering • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipeline integration and DevOps methodologies • Ability to work independently in a matrixed environment with shifting priorities • Excellent verbal and written communication skills Preferred Certifications: • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate • AWS Certified Developer – Associate
