Role description
Role: AWS Cloud Engineer- Offshore Duration:6 months, contract to hire Location: Remote Job Responsibilities: β€’ Implement and manage IaaS and PaaS services in cloud platforms. Support/management scope are for core infrastructure services (servers, elastic load balancers, storage, Lambda functions, RDS, etc...) β€’ OS level support of Linux environments, including troubleshooting, responding to platform alerts, and change management (cloud server system admin responsibilities). Primary focus will be Linux, especially Amazon Linux β€’ Proficiency with bash shell scripting used heavily during EC2 instance bootstrap processes to install and configure software is a required skill β€’ Proficiency with Python used within Lambda functions required β€’ Proficiency with Ansible used within AWS System Manager's, State Manager functionality required β€’ Utilization of AWS Systems Manager functionality: Patch Manager, RunCommand and State Manager required β€’ Configuring virtual machines and dependent services in fault tolerant configurations (auto-scaling / utilizing load balancing / quick recovery / disaster recovery) β€’ Monitor and respond to CloudWatch alerts β€’ Assist with identifying areas for improved efficiency (automation) and resiliency/health of our cloud services. Assist with identifying areas where we can lower costs β€’ Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures β€’ Participate in team meetings and contribute with cross-team knowledge sharing Experience & Qualifications: β€’ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems β€’ Linux administrator - 5 years' experience β€’ AWS Cloud- 5 years' experience in infrastructure as code environment β€’ Linux Shell Scripting (bash) - 5 years' experience β€’ Self-driven personality β€’ Desire to learn and develop new skills Interested, please share resume to ramya.k@sstech.us
